Team Info

Years Active: 1983-1985
Stadium: Oakland–Alameda County Coliseum

The Oakland Invaders were one of the original teams in the USFL and were meant to fill the void left by the Raiders which had recently moved to LA. The team played well, making the playoffs in 2 of their 3 seasons and had solid fan support. In 1985, the team became a powerhouse after merging with the Michigan Panthers and made it to the championship game. The Invaders came up just 5 yards short of victory in what would end up being the last USFL game ever played.
