Vancouver Blazers Jersey
Team Info
The Blazers were originally planned to be the Miami Screaming Eagles in the inaugural season of the WHA in 1972. Construction of the new arena had to be stopped and without a home in Miami, the team became the Philadelphia Blazers. After financial difficulties and poor attendance in Philadelphia, the team was sold after just one season. The Blazers were once again moved and this time became the Vancouver Blazers. The team attempted to sign Phil Esposito to bring publicity to the team but was unsuccessful. Ultimately competing with the Canucks proved too difficult and after 2 seasons in Vancouver the team became the Calgary Cowboys.
