St Louis Stallions Snapback
The St. Louis Stallions were a proposed NFL team. The team was first proposed in 1991 as part of the league expansion. The Stallions were a finalist and a stadium was already under construction to be ready for the 1995 season. Rather than the Stallions, the Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars were chosen as expansion teams. The new stadium attracted the New England Patriots who planned to move to St. Louis to become the Stallions in 1994. However, Robert Kraft took over the team and kept the Patriots in New England. Eventually the Rams took the stadium, but not the Stallions name when they moved to St. Louis in 1995.
