Kansas City Scouts Low Profile Hat
Team Info
Years Active: 1974-1976
Stadium: Kemper Arena
The Kansas City Scouts were originally planned to be called the Mohawks, combining the MO for Missouri with Kansas' Jayhawks. Possible confusion with the Chicago Blackhawks led to the Scouts being named after a famous statue in Kansas City. The team played poorly in both seasons and as a result struggled with attendance. With significant debt, the team moved to Colorado to become the Rockies after the 1975-76 season.
