The Clowns were formed in Miami as the Giants and soon after changed the name to the Ethiopian Clowns. The team later moved between Cincinnati and Indianapolis. The Clowns fielded a comedic touring team similar to the Globetrotters as well as legitimate major league level baseball team that competed independently and in the Negro American League.
