The Denver Dynamite were one of the original teams in the Arena league and won Arena Bowl I under AFL hall of fame coach Tim Marcum. The Dynamite did not play the following season due to financial problems, but returned in 1989 under new ownership. After making the playoffs in each of its remaining seasons, the team folded for good due to continual financial problems in 1991.
