Senators Alternate Jersey
The Washington Senators name was originally used by a franchise which played from 1891-1899. Two years later, the name was revived by a new team in 1901. Neither team experienced much success on the field, with one title coming in 1924. In a strange move, the second incarnation of the Senators relocated after the 1960 season and an expansion team took its place in 1961. With all new players and management, this third Senators team shared nothing with the 1960 team other than the name. This final Senators team had only one winning season which came with hall of famer Ted Williams managing the team. The Senators played their final game in 1971.
